Welcome to R L Cakes! We are a passionate, professional custom bakery proudly operating right here in Doncaster. We specialise in creating beautifully designed custom celebration cakes, luxury cupcakes, and highly addictive postal treats that taste just as incredible as they look.

We take great pride in our craft and our community. For your total peace of mind, we are fully insured and officially registered with the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC). We are incredibly proud to hold an official 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating. 📅 Our Custom Booking Guidelines
Because custom cakes take hours of precise planning, designing, and baking, we have a few essential house rules in place to keep our kitchen running smoothly and ensure your cake experience is flawless:
  • Securing Your Date: We experience incredibly high demand for custom dates. Please note that no booking is contractually confirmed until a deposit is paid. Deposits must be made promptly at the time of booking to secure your slot, as we do not chase unpaid deposits. Late payments risk cancellation.
  • Collection & Delivery: We operate a local-only service for our custom cakes from our base in Doncaster. Please double-check your event dates carefully before booking. Because our custom bakes require strict timelines, collections earlier than your agreed time slot are rarely possible.
  • Admin Days & Response Times: Our dedicated administration days are Monday and Friday. We truly appreciate your patience when you message us! Please reach out well in advance of your event so we can finalise your design details during our office hours.
  • Pricing & Cake Designs: Every cake size has a standard base price that includes essential toppers. Detailed custom work—such as handmade fondant figures that require hours of intricate crafting—or specialty items ordered in specifically will incur an additional fee.
  • Keeping it Real: While we love using your inspiration pictures as a guide, no handmade bake will ever be an exact carbon copy of a photo. In today's digital world, there are many AI-generated cake images online that are entirely unrealistic to recreate in real life. We promise to bring you authentic, delicious, hand-crafted art!
